Gone Fishin' The Cookbook - Graeme Sinclair

The Best New Zealand Seafood Recipes from the 'Carters Kitchen' Viewers and Friends

For the past two years on Gone Fishin' at the end of each programme Daryl Crimp has shown viewers in the Carters Kitchen how to cook the catch of the day. The response from viewers has been enormous with sometimes hundreds of phone calls and emails after a programme for the recipe.

In response to the demand, all of the Carters Kitchen recipes and others from the programme gathered over the last ten years have been brought together in this book.

A chance remark on one programme asking viewers for their favourite recipes created a deluge of recipes to the programme and the best of these have been included along with some very special recipes from some of Graeme's friends. In all, over 140 recipes presented in sections so the reader can select from a variety of recipes depending on their catch of the day.

    Book Terminology

Tanning - age tanning or browning/yellowing occurs over time on the pages of books,  tanning tends to start on the outside of the pages and progresses inward over time, often creating a brownish or yellowish border around the page edges.
Foxed / Foxing - age-related brown or brown-yellowish spotting of the paper caused by a chemical reaction over time.
Sunned - damage done to a book cover or dust jacket caused by exposure to direct sunlight.
Closed Tear - indicates a torn page in which no material has been lost. A closed tear can be pressed back into place or sometimes fixed with archival repair tape.
Ex-library – the book was once owned by, and circulated in, a public library.  This book could well be in any of the above general categories but more often than not has been well used.  May have library stickers, stamps, or markings.
