Non-Stop Containers: Flowering Through The Four Seasons - Graham Strong
In Non-stop Containers, writer/photographer Graham Strong shows how to transform your container garden with a continuous flow of colour, 365 days of the year.
With this book, you will discover that there need never be a dull moment in your container garden.
From rustic hay cart to plastic toy chest, Graham uses a stylish selection of traditional and modern containers to unleash unstoppable colour in 26 of the most desirable and useful pots.
While the containers stay the same, some plants are replaced from season to season and key plants may hold the fort. The pace never slackens; recipes for spring, summer and autumn keep the colour coming, and there's no attempt to neglect displays for those cooler winter months.
Each chapter provides you with all you need to know about that container for an entire year. Height, weight, compost, drainage, styling hints, growing tips, substitute plants and difficulty ratings - everything is here to turn the amateur gardener into a
container expert.
In clear, concise terms, Graham explains how and when to raise plants from seed, when it is worth buying mature specimens, and when to return spent plants to the open garden. With over 150 reliable, beautiful plants, your container success will spill over into the rest of the garden.
